Pre-Rafaelite with a Modern Twist

In school I studied Spanish as well as art. My course led me to research different spanish artists including Frida Khalo. My interest in her developed and I then researched other historical artists and their styles. I then found the Pre-Rahaelite era, noticing their love of nature and disapproval of advancing technologies. I decided to modernise this in my project by photographing my model using nature along with todays devices. Later I introduced AI-generated backgrounds to subvert the Pre-Raphaelite unfuteristic ideal inspired by William Morris to emulate this era in a modern twist. I painted in acrylic and overall I am very happy with the outcome.
